Obituary of Elena R. Axtell

Elena R. Axtell, age 93 most recently of Shelton, entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Griffin Hospital, Derby. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Axtell. Elena was born in Colombia, daughter of the late Isaac Rodriguez and Maria Bonifacia. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who along with caring for her family had a deep and personal relationship with the Lord. Elena is the loving mother of Ruth Mapleton, Frank Axtell, and Daniel Axtell; and the caring grandmother of Justin, Adaja, and Andre Morren. She is also survived by her special friends and caregivers Dora Lanche and Hugo Rivas; and many other family member and friends. Friends and Family are invited to attend a Service on Tuesday, November 15 from 10 am to 12 pm at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. Her burial will follow at Mt.
