Obituary of Engracia Aponte

Engracia Aponte, age 93, of Bridgeport entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 22, 2016 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT. Engracia was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico. She is the beloved widow of the late Jose Aponte whom she reunites with at last. She is survived by her sons Jose Aponte, Jr., Edwin Aponte, Victor Aponte, and Alex Aponte; her daughters Josephine Ramos and Migdalia Colon; her sister Maria Velez; fourteen grandchildren; twenty two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT. Funeral Services have been scheduled for Friday, August 26, 2016 starting at 10:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Church, 25 Sherman St, Bridgeport.
