Obituary of Kareem Jamaal Butler

Kareem Jamaal “Reem” Butler, age 40, of Bridgeport entered eternal rest Wednesday August 17, 2016 at Bridgeport Hospital. Kareem was raised in Bridgeport and Naugatuck, CT where he developed his passion for basketball, being a barber, drawing and creating long lasting friendships. A devoted father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend, Kareem worked tirelessly to provide and support his loved ones. Kareem leaves to cherish his memory his mother Katrina Snowden; son Deyonté Allen “Tae-Tay” Butler; Step-son Jamie Mashia Jr.; five brothers, Richard Snowden Sr., Sir Snowden, Jermaine Allen, James Allen, and Rodney Butler Jr.; Step-brothers Miguel “Ken” Powell and Shawn Grant; two sisters, Keisha Butler and Dawn Brown; three nephews Richard Snowden Jr., Dontavias “Peanut” Butler, and Jesiah Bulter. Kareem is loved and cherished by a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday August 26, 2016 11:00 a.m. at East End Baptist Church, 548 Central Ave, Bridgeport with Rev. Wesley Dullivan, officiating. Interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, following the service. Friends are invited to the viewing Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
