Obituary of Joaquin Negron, Jr.

Joaquin Negron, Jr., age 82, entered suddenly into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at his residence in Bridgeport. He was the beloved husband of Beatriz Sandoval. Joaquin was born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico; son of the late Joaquin and Juana Negron prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago. He was employed as a Maintenance Worker by the City of Bridgeport for many years prior to his retirement. Joaquin is the loving father of Michael Moyher, Joseph DePaulo, Joaquin Negron, III., Diana Roseboro, Mary Jane Negron, Eduardo Negron, Hector Luna, Elizabeth Maldonado, and William Arbelo; the uncle of Michael Nieves, whom he considered a son; the brother of Gladys Lopez, Wilfredo Negron, Thomas Negron, David Negron, and Carmen Franco; and the caring grandfather of 23 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many other family members and friends that will sorely miss him. Joaquin was predeceased by his daughter, Iris Negron, and siblings Maria Rosado and Angel Negron. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, June 27, 2016 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT.
