Obituary of Maria Soto

Maria Soto, age 79, of Bridgeport entered into the peaceful rest of the Lord on Thursday, September 8, 2011 in St. Vincent's Medical Center while surrounded by her loving family. Maria was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the Bridgeport area almost 40 years ago. She is the daughter of the late Manuel Ruiz and the late Rosa Rodriguez; She is the beloved widow of the late Jose I. Soto; She is survived by her sons Jose L. Mieles, Jose, I. Soto, Jose O. Soto, Reyes M. Soto, Wilfredo Soto, Francisco Soto and Jose Miguel Soto; Daughters Carmen J. Rosa, Letty Barbosa and Birnani Vazquez; Many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, relatives and friends who will sorely miss her. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her son the late Leonardo Mieles and daughter the late Olga M. Perez. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, September 12, 2011 from 7-9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (La Funeraria de NUESTRO Pueblo), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT; Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 13. 2011 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in ST.
