Obituary of Maria Martinez

Maria Martinez, age 65, of Bridgeport passed away into the peaceful rest of the Lord on August 14, 2011 in her home while surrounded by her loving family. She is the beloved wife of Celestino Martinez of Bridgeport whom she married over 44 years ago. She is the daughter of the late Catalino and the late Carmen Rodriguez; In addition to her husband she is survived by her son Roberto Martinez; her daughters Betzaida Martinez and Jessica Martinez; her grandchildren Jose A. Valentin, Jonathan D. Valentin, Jaden A. Colon, Veronica M. Glenn, Nathalia E. Glenn and Jayden-Christian M. Martinez; and a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 from 6-8 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz ( La Funeraria de NUESTRO Pueblo ), 426 E. Washington Ave, Bridgeport; Funeral services have been scheduled for Thursday, August 18, 2011, beginning at 8:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.
