Obituary of Aureo Lopez

Aureo "Yuyo" Lopez, age 75 of Stratford CT, beloved husband of Ana Lydia Lopez and the son the late Aureo and Felicita Palmarin-Lopez, entered into the peaceful rest of the Lord on Saturday, July 2nd 2011 in Bridgeport Hospital. He was born April 4, 1936 in Aguadilla, PR, and moved to NY in 1947. Aureo was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who worked as a machinist until his retirement. In his free time Aureo enjoyed music, playing his maracas or just reading a good book. In addition to his devoted wife Ana of over 50yrs he is survived by his daughter, Maritza Ramos of Stratford, CT, Grandchild, Ruben Felipe and three great grandchildren, Antonio, Ruben Jr., and Diego Felipe, a sister Frances Rivera of Brooklyn, NY, and a host of friends and family who will dearly miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, July 5th, 2011 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (La Funeraria de NUESTRO Pueblo), 426 E. Washington Ave, Bridgeport. Funeral services have been scheduled for Wednesday, July 6th, 2011 beginning at 10a.m. directly in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in St. Michael's Cemetery, in Stratford.
