Obituary of Eleanor Ortiz Torres

Eleanor Ortiz Torres, age 80, of Bridgeport passed away into the peaceful rest of the Lord on Friday, May 20, 2011 in Bridgeport Healthcare Center. Eleanor was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico before moving into the Bridgeport area many years ago. She had been employed for Bridgeport Hospital for 34 years prior to her retirement. She was a wonderful woman with a caring Heart and Soul. She is the daughter of thelate Paul Ortiz and the late Paula Ortiz. She is survived by her daughters Rosemary Torres of Virginia and Josephine Simmons of Alaska; She is also survived by her thirteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will sorely miss her. She was predeceased by her daughters the late Pauline Geter, the late Chriselda Torres and the late Carolyn Gonzalez; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 7-9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, ( La Funeraria de NUESTRO Pueblo), 426 E.
